Retired Government Servant, and well-known writer and famous stamp collector, Francis. P. Gunasekera of Kandana passed away at age of 87 on 24th June 2010.
He contributed valuable articles to the Daily News and Dinamina for several years on stamps. He was a popular personality in the stamp collecting field in Asia region. He was the founder of ‘Pinibindu’ Philatelic Society.
