Gamini Silva, former founder of SLIPA (Sri Lanka Independent Philately Association) has been in the field of stamp collecting and advising school students since the 1970s. He has a large collection and is interested in sharing his knowledge amongst other philatelists, specially school children. He owns Nicoli Bookshop. | |
Gordon De Silva, born in 1964 stuided at Mahanama College, Colombo 3. He has worked at Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation as a graphic designer and was the first 3d animator in Sri Lanka. He is a curator of a museum containing technical item collections related to media. His hobbies including collecting stamps, coins and currency. | |
K.G.Keerthiratne. Born in 1962, studied at Kelaniya Gurukula Maha Viduhala up to high school. He is married with three children and lives in Kiribathgoda. He had been warded the International Photographic Arts Association Award in Art for Photography. He received his diploma from the National Photographic Art Association of Sri Lanka. In 2024 he celebrates 45 years in photography. Although he started collecting stamps as a hobby at the age of 10, he has turned to it with more interest around 2010. | |

The co-founder and content creator of “Reading Stamps” “කියවන මුද්දර” “Kiyawana Muddara”, he is a Social Philatelist and Subject Researcher with a passion for cultural exploration, historical narratives, and the art of storytelling with a deep passion for stamp collecting and extensive knowledge of historical and cultural topics. | |
Keerthi Somaratne. Studied at St’Johns collage Nugegoda .Received technical diploma from Ceylon German technical training institute 1982 batch .Worked at Srilankan AIrlines engineering department as a Senior Aircraft maintenance executive .Collecting stamps and postal stationary since childhood. | |
Pradeep M. Pitigala Arachchi. Born 1981 in Matara, Pradeep Honorary retired from Sri Lankan Army in 2024 (Warrant Officer I ranked). A past pupil of Matara St.Thomas College, his hobby of collecting stamps, coins and notes started in the 1990s, has now expanded to a wide range. He uses the knowledge gained from it to help other philatelists by authoring stamp feature articles and also presenting his work via digital media means. | |
Daminda Godahewa. Hailing from Ambalangoda and past pupil of Dharmashoka College, Ambalangoda, Daminda works in the construction sector (Diploma and Advanced Pass from Colombo Technical College). He has been collecting stamps since 1973. His items of interests are all mint stamps from Ceylon/Sri Lanka and around the world. He was a former treasurer of PSSL and has been a member since 1991. |

Mohamed Azeem, a past student of Daybridge International School, Dehiwala is currently an Undergraduate in creative multimedia at NIBM. He is new to stamp collecting and ventured into it since 2023 though he has always had a fondness for stamps from childhood. | |
Nabeel Barry. A past student of Wesley College, served as the Deputy Senior Prefect and was actively involved in the Interact District Council. A President Scout, he began his philatelic journey through the scout movement, using it as a valuable source to enhance his knowledge while encompassing a hobby. | |
Yasas Lakshan Gunasekara. An avid philatelist from Kalutara, past pupil of K/ Pothuvila National collage, he works as a health care service assistant at Teaching hospital, Kalutara. He has his own youtube channel called “Search Stamp World” focusing on philately related videos. He has been collecting stamps since his childhood. |
