This catalog is a result of years of research on Ceylon /Sri Lanka postal stationery by Dr.Chandra Rodrigo (MBBS,FRCA,FFARCSI,FHKCA,FHKAM) who was the past president of Sri Lanka Philatelic society (2006,2007,2008).
He has divided his research on to 3 catalogs and this is his 1st catalog .
About the catalog
The catalog is divided into two sections, Airgraphs and Aerogrammes. Airgraphs are further divided into services personnel and civilian airgraphs. The aerogrammes are divided into five parts ;those with stamps of KGVI ,those with stamps of head of QEII, those with stamps of coat of arms, those in the early republican period (22.05.1972-30.06.1983) and those in the late republican period (01.07.1983 to date)
The order of listing in each period is based on the earliest recorded date (E.R.D) Thus it differs from that of Higgins and Gage (H&G). However to avoid confusion H&G numbers are given by the side. Most of the aerogrammes with the earliest recorded dates in the KGVI period in this catalog are fortunately with the author.
