Recap: Video from Stamp Camp

Sanath Rohana Wickramasinghe is a familiar name in Sri Lankan philately. In 1981, he was able to produce his very first postage stamp design which was a topic that was closer to his heard. This was the portrait of Lord Robert Baden-Powell, the Founder of the World Scout Movement to celebrate the 125th anniversary. What was unique about this was that the post department gave the opportunity only to scouts to design the stamps and not other designers.

More details and videos of him can be found in his page on our site.
